Mississippi Municipal League Elects New Officers for 2025-2026

The Mississippi Municipal League (MML) elected new officers for 2025-2026 at its 94th Annual Conference in Biloxi, MS.
Mayor Patti Pettit of Woodland ascended to the office of President, and Mayor Hope Magee Jones of Collins moved to the office of First Vice President. Mayor Butch Lee of Brandon was elected Second Vice President of MML at the League’s annual election held on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025.
MML President Mayor Patti Pettit stated, “It’s an honor to step into this role and continue serving the villages, towns, cities that make Mississippi strong. Over the next year, I look forward to working alongside Mayor Hope Magee Jones and Mayor Butch Lee as we help lead this organization forward. Together, we have a unique opportunity to support and uplift our fellow municipal officials as they carry out the important work of local government across our state.”
The mission of the Mississippi Municipal League is helping cities and towns excel. MML is a non-partisan association established in 1931, representing 290 city, town and village governments in Mississippi. MML is also affiliated with the National League of Cities, a lobbying, legislative and legal arm representing municipalities before the U.S. Congress.
